We had a spilt system air conditioner installed by BK Air Tech in the lead up to Christmas. We found Bevan to be reliable, knowledgeable and professional. He turned up when he said he would, thoroughly explained our options, answered our questions and managed to install the unit within the week, just in time for the hot weather. We were particularly impressed with the after-installation support provided by BK Air Tech. Due to the wall we chose to have the unit installed on (and our decision to avoid using a drain pump) there was some work required afterwards by a plasterer and painter. Beven assisted us in securing excellent tradespeople who we able to complete the work within days. Bevan followed up after each step to make sure that we were satisfied. The unit has been running perfectly over Summer and we are very happy. We recommend BK Air Tech and would use their services again in the future.

Air conditioning involves both electrical work and a refrigeration circuit. Electrical qualifications alone do not establish that someone is licensed for refrigeration-circuit diagnosis and repair. Ask about the refrigerant handling licence and the scope of work it covers. Bevan at BK Air Tech is a qualified refrigeration and air conditioning technician, so you can discuss installation, servicing and refrigeration faults with the same business. Required electrical work must also be performed by an appropriately licensed person.
Note the make, model, fault code and what the system is doing, then contact us. Refrigeration-circuit faults need a technician whose refrigerant handling licence covers that work. If the fault may be covered by a warranty, we can discuss the relevant manufacturer’s assessment process; coverage and approvals depend on its terms. Do not open equipment or attempt refrigerant repairs yourself.

We work with AirTouch and install smart zoning for compatible ducted systems. Zoning lets you control heating and cooling in different areas. We assess your system, layout and compatibility before recommending an approach.
BK Air Tech handles Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) rebate work, including removing gas ducted heaters and gas wall furnaces and replacing them with air conditioning. Eligibility depends on the property, existing heater, replacement equipment and current program rules. Contact us to check the proposed upgrade before work begins; a rebate is not guaranteed.

Our split-system services cost $149.60 for Essential Service, $165 for Complete Service (recommended), and $330 for Deep Clean, including GST per indoor unit. Evaporative servicing is $346.50 for single-storey and $379.50 for double-storey systems, including GST per system. Replacement pads are quoted separately.
